REIA Terms of Service

The following terms and conditions govern your account and use of the online courses provided by the Real Estate Investment Academy (“REIA”, or “we” and “us”)

By signing up for or using any of the courses offered by REIA or by using the REIA website (our “Services” or “Content”), you are agreeing to be bound by the following terms and conditions, together with REIA’s privacy policy.

If you do not agree to all of the terms of the Terms of Service, you must not subscribe for or use the Services by REIA. 

Any new features or tools which are added to the current Services will also be subject to the Terms of Service. REIA reserves the right to update and change the Terms of Service at any time. We recommend that you check the Terms of Service from time to time for any updates or changes that may impact you.  If you continue to use the Services following any such update or change to the Terms of Service, you will be deemed to have accepted those updates or changes.  If you do not agree to the updates or changes, you must stop using the Services and your Account.

1. Account Terms

You agree to the following terms relating to your account with REIA (“Account”):

1.1. You acknowledge that REIA will use the email address you provide as the primary method for communication, and REIA may send email communications to you to convey information about REIA’s products and services, including promotional information about new or updated products and services, and REIA events. You may opt-out of such communications on an individual basis.

1.2. You are responsible for keeping your password secure. REIA will not be liable for any loss or damage from your failure to maintain the security of your Account and password. You must promptly notify REIA if you become aware of any unauthorized access to or use of your Account or password.

1.3. A breach or violation of any term in the Terms of Service as determined in the sole discretion of REIA will result in an immediate termination of your Services, without notice to you.

2. General Conditions of Use

The following general conditions apply to your use of the Services:

2.1. You must ensure that you do not, either directly or indirectly:

2.1.1. lend, sell, resell, lease, sublicense, transfer, assign, distribute, grant a security interest in, or otherwise use the Services for the benefit of a third party, unless we have given you prior written authorization;

2.1.2. modify, translate, or create derivative works based on the Services or any software, hardware, documentation or data related to the Services, in whole or part, or reproduce, duplicate, copy, or exploit any portion of the Services in whole or in part except to the extent expressly permitted in writing by REIA or authorized within the Services;

2.1.3. permit the Services to be used by anyone other than the account owner;.

2.1.4. use any robot, spider, device, technology or process to monitor or copy any data or pages within the Services without our prior written consent; and.

3. REIA Rights

The following are REIA’s rights in regards to the Services and these Terms of Service:

3.1. We reserve the right to modify or terminate the Services for any reason, without notice at any time.

3.2. We reserve the right to refuse our Services to anyone for any reason at any time.

3.3. We may, but have no obligation to, remove Content or suspend an Account Owner’s access to the Services, or terminate the Services (without prior notice).

4. Limitation of Liability

4.1.  REIA makes reasonable efforts to ensure that the information provided is accurate but makes no representations or warranties to you of any kind, express or implied, and, in particular, does not guarantee, warrant or makes representation about its accuracy, adequacy, validity, completeness, reliability, availability, timeliness or suitability for any purpose. REIA is not responsible for any loss, damage or cost resulting from any reliance on the Content.  

4.2. The REIA courses include various case studies which are based on real transactions. Nevertheless, there is no use of any third party confidential information and any and all use of copyright is lawful and constitutes fair dealing of any such material. All other information used in this case study, including but not limited to numerical data, financial metrics and information on the parties involved are fictional and are used for illustrative purposes to provide general guidelines on the matter for teaching purposes

4.3. Neither the videos or any of the information provided in the courses provided by REIA constitute an offer to sell or a solicitation of an offer to buy any security or instrument in or to participate in any trading strategy with any investment firm or investment vehicle. 

The opinions expressed by REIA reflect the current opinions by REIA as of June 2023 and should not be construed as research or investment advise. 

5. Intellectual Property and Content

You acknowledge that REIA owns all rights, title and interest in and to all REIA online course material, communication and sessions and you undertake not to share, sell, resell, copy, record, reproduce or distribute any of the Content in any form or by any means. The Content is only authorised to be used by the person who has registered to REIA online courses. If REIA determines that any user of this website has violated the rules set here REIA reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to claim compensation from the user in breach.

6. REIA payments & Refunds

As of June 2023,  REIA offers a full refund to any customer who requests a refund within 72 hours of signing up the REIA courses. After the 72 hours, REIA does not offer any refunds. REIA reserves the right to change its refund policy at any time. 

7. Personal Data

7.1. In connection with providing the Services to you, we may process personal data that about you (“Client Data”).

7.2. We will process Client Data in accordance with: (a) these Terms of Service; (b) our Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy will form part of these Terms of Service and may be amended in accordance with their terms.

8. General Terms

The failure of REIA to exercise or enforce any right or provision of these Terms of Service will not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.

8.1. These Terms of Service constitute the entire agreement between you and REIA and govern your use of the Services, superseding any prior agreements between you and REIA (including, but not limited to, any prior versions of these Terms of Service).

8.2. These Terms of Service will be binding on and ensure to the benefit of the parties and their heirs and successors.

8.3. There are no third party beneficiaries to these Terms of Service, and you acknowledge that REIA will have no obligation or liability whatsoever to any third parties with which you may do business, including your customers or students.

8.4. If any provision of these Terms of Service is held void, invalid, illegal or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, such invalidity, illegality or unenforceability will not affect the validity, legality or enforceability of any other provisions contained in these terms or the validity or enforceability of that provision or part thereof in any other jurisdiction, and the remaining portions of these terms will continue in full force and effect.

8.5. You must not knowingly export or re-export, directly or indirectly, any product or software received or accessed from REIA under these Terms of Service to any destination, entity or person to which such export or re-export is restricted or prohibited by applicable laws. You represent and warrant that you are not on any such restricted or prohibited lists. REIA makes no representation or warranty that the Services are appropriate or available for use in any specific country or jurisdiction.
